Sheikh Hamdan Greenlights Designs for Two New Football Stadiums in Dubai

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, has approved designs for new stadiums for Shabab Al Ahli and Al Wasl football clubs. Each stadium, with a capacity of 20,000, aims to meet the clubs' future needs and expand their fanbases.

The avant-garde design of the Shabab Al Ahli stadium features a circular roof supported by Moon-like columns, surrounded by green spaces. Similarly, the Al Wasl stadium prioritizes sustainability and greenery.

These initiatives align with Dubai's Economic Agenda D33, aiming to establish the emirate as a leading sporting hub.

Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed, chairman of Dubai Sports Council, emphasized the projects' role in enhancing facilities, supporting development strategies, and nurturing local talent. Completion timelines and costs have not been disclosed.
