RTA awards Dubai Harbour roadworks project - worth $117M
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai has initiated a AED 431 million project to construct direct entry/exit points for Dubai Harbour, following directives from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The project includes building a two-lane bridge in each direction spanning 1500 meters from Sheikh Zayed Road to Dubai Harbour, a prominent seafront residential and marina destination. This development aims to accommodate 6000 vehicles per hour, significantly reducing travel time from 12 minutes to 3 minutes by improving traffic flow through enhanced road infrastructure and intersection upgrades. Shamal Holding, partnering in the project, emphasizes their commitment to creating exceptional residential communities and enriching visitor experiences within Dubai Harbour.
