Dar awarded design, construction contract for Kuwait International Airport

Dar Al Handasah has secured a significant contract from Kuwait's Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA) to oversee design and construction at Kuwait International Airport (KIA). The project spans five years, with a 1.5-year design phase followed by 3.5 years for construction supervision. Key aspects include constructing a 1.5 square kilometer cargo platform with 77 aircraft stands, upgrading the central runway and taxiways to meet ICAO code 4F standards, and developing infrastructure to support the airport's operations. The contract signing ceremony involved Dar Al Handasah executives and DGCA President Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al Sabah.
